Training Administration Instructions
To access the TFA courses each company or organisation has to have a Senior Training Administrator.
Senior Administrators can view all test results taken by staff logging in to the courses using their company details. They also have the option of creating Groups, which for example could be department names or locations and then assign selected staff to be Administrators of those Groups. These Group Administrators will then have access to staff who have logged in to the Courses section having selected their specific Group.
To set up a Senior Training Instructor for your company or organisation you first need to register on the site. If you haven’t already done so please follow the instructions below.
How to register on the TFA website
- Click ‘Register’ to the left of the search box on the homepage or click here: www.tourismforall.org.uk/register.htm
- Complete registration form, ensuring that you have completed the company information section at the bottom and click the register button.
- You will be sent an activation email to the address you provided containing your login details and an activation link, which you must click. (Please note if you do not click the activation link you will not be able to login).
- Once you have activated your account you will be able to login to the website ( www.tourismforall.org.uk/login.htm ) and will now have access to restricted content such as the Forum, News and Offers.
- You are now ready to be upgraded to a Senior Training Administrator.
What to do if you loose or forget your login details
- If you are a registered user your Username will be the email address you used when completing the registration form.
- The password will also be something you entered when completing the registration form but if you have forgotten this click the ‘Lost your password...’ link on the login page or click here: www.tourismforall.org.uk/login.htm?mode=lostPassword.
- Now enter the email address you used to register and you will be sent a new password via email.
- The new password will be generated by the system so you may want to change this to something more memorable. To do this login ( www.tourismforall.org.uk/login.htm ) and select ‘Change Password’ from the left hand navigation on the welcome / My TFA page.
How to upgrade to a Senior Training Administrator
- Once registered contact Tim Gardiner on 01865 432877 asking to be upgraded to a Senior Training Administrator.
- Tim will ask you what you want to use as your Company Code/Password, which can be any selection of letters or numbers with no spaces and is used by your staff to login to the training courses.
- Alternatively you can email Tim at timgardiner@tourismforall.org.uk asking to be upgraded to a Senior Training Administrator and provide him with your Company Code / Password.
- Tim will then enter your code and upgrade your account which will give you access to the TFA training courses.
- You will need to let your staff know what your code is so they can use it when they access the courses.
How to access the courses and results page
- After you have registered and been upgraded to a Senior Training Administrator you can access the TFA training courses, firstly by logging in ( www.tourismforall.org.uk/login.htm ) and then going to the TFA Business section and selecting ‘TFA Training Courses’ from the left hand navigation, or by clicking here: www.tourismforall.org.uk/TFA-Training-Courses.html
- The left hand navigation will now display links to the Courses login and also the Courses themselves.
- As you are now a Senior Training Administrator when you select Courses Login ( www.tourismforall.org.uk/coursesLogin.htm ) you will now see your company’s course results page. Here you will be able to view your staffs results as well as the ability to delete and download PDF certificates and Excel spreadsheets.
How to set up departments / locations (optional)
- Please note you do not have to use this facility if you just want a single administrator to view all staff results.
- Senior Training Administrators have the ability to create groups for Departments / Locations. These could simply be used for grouping course results or used to create Group Administrators who can monitor their associated staff results.
- To create Departments / Locations login and select the ‘Manage Trainees’ link on the Welcome / My TFA page, or click here: www.tourismforall.org.uk/traineeManagement.htm.
- Type in the name of the department / location and click the Add button.
- These will now be available to select when staff login the the TFA Training Courses.
How to set up Group Administrators (optional)
- Group Administrators are linked to departments / locations and are able to view results of those staff who have logged on and selected their relevant department / location.
- They will need to register on the site by following ‘How to register on the TFA website, steps 1 – 4’ above. Ensuring they select your company / organisation when they do so.
- To upgrade them to Group Administrators login and select the ‘Manage Trainees’ link on the Welcome / My TFA page, or click here: www.tourismforall.org.uk/traineeManagement.htm. You will then see a list of staff that have registered and selected your company / organisation.
- Use the dropdown menus for departments / locations next to the registered staff that you wish to upgrade. Please note, you may only associate one Group Administrator to one Department / Location.
- Once you have upgraded them when they login ( www.tourismforall.org.uk/login.htm ) and select Courses Login ( www.tourismforall.org.uk/coursesLogin.htm ) they will see results from staff who selected their department / location when the logged in to the TFA Training Courses.
How do staff access the TFA Training Courses
- Staff do not need to register on the site instead they go directly to the Training Courses login page: www.tourismforall.org.uk/coursesLogin.htm
- Here they will be asked to enter their name, select your company and department / location (if previously created) and enter your company code / password.
- Staff will then have access to the courses and tests.
