Our unique heritage and beautiful site features a range of accommodation options, including a Grade I listed calendar house, lodges and camping areas. Accommodation
Nestled in the woodland landscape, our fully accessible Lodges at Avon Tyrrell provide the perfect accommodation opportunity for small groups and families to enjoy a short break together.
Open all year round, we have 6, 12 and 14 berth lodges, each with a fully equipped kitchen, wet room style bathrooms and a TV lounge area complete with TV and DVD player. All lodges have wide spaced corridors, entry exit doors and ramp access, making them ideal for wheelchair users. We also have additional equipment that can be booked to support your needs including; shower beds, shower chairs, bed sides, portable hoists and a ceiling hoist.
If you’re looking to experience the great outdoors in a different way, why not set up a tent and camp with us under the stars. We have various camping areas, ensuring guests have plenty of space, accessible toilet and shower facilities and we allow fire pits and BBQ’s so you can get the full camping experience.
If you are looking to bring a bigger group, you can stay in our Grade I listed house which can sleep up to 110 people in dormitory style bedrooms. With en suite bathrooms, lift access to all floors and key coded locks for security, the house is a great communal space for large groups and comes on a full board basis.

We have also implemented various processes to ensure the safety of our guests and staff including; quarantining equipment, limited contact activities, single household/social bubble sessions, enhanced cleaning processes and safe socialising.

Travelling from London, the North or East
From the southbound M3 motorway just before you get to Southampton, join the M27 and follow signs for the West and Bournemouth (the M27 eventually becomes the A31 dual carriageway). After approximately 15 miles, exit off the A31 left for Burley (signposted Burley and Services) and follow the signs into Burley (about 3 miles). In the centre of the village you will find a triangular junction - turn right (signposted Bransgore and Avon Tyrrell). After a couple of miles you will rise up a hill and come to a crossroads at Thorney Hill. Turn right (signposted for Avon Tyrrell).
Go over the cattle grid, continue for 400m until you reach a fork in the road, Avon Tyrrell is signposted. Take the right fork which is our private drive. Please obey the speed limit and watch out for the speed ramps, at the end keep left and follow the drive up to Avon Tyrrell House at the end.
Travelling from the West of England
Coming from the West of England head for Ringwood via the A31 or A338, continue East past Ringwood up the main A31 dual carriageway for about 1 mile. As you get to the top of a hill there is the turning off left signposted to Burley and services. Continue to Burley and Avon Tyrrell as per the directions above.
If you are travelling by train there are a few stations that you can trave to.
Brockenhurst - 10 miles
New Milton - 6 miles
Hinton Admiral - 5 miles
By Taxi
You will find a taxi rank at both Brockenhurst and New Milton but if you are travelling to Hinton Admiral you will need to book a taxi in advance to pick you up from the station.
