Welcome to Bosinver Farm Cottages in Cornwall - Visit England’s Family Friendly Accommodation of the Year.

Imagine a place where families can stay, play and enjoy wide-open spaces with their children.  A place that couples can come to connect and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, or larger groups can simply pamper themselves for the weekend or even longer!

We understand that every guest has different needs and we aim to make our cottages and facilities available and accessible to all our guests equally, wherever possible.

Laid out much like a small hamlet, Bosinver truly is a magical place. Set in a tranquil valley not far from the south coast of Cornwall, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, our 20 holiday cottages sit in 35 acres of wildflower meadows and beautifully landscaped gardens.

From the traditional to the ultra-modern and cottages sleeping from 4 to 12, Bosinver really has a cottage to suit everybody. With stylish interiors and open plan living spaces, no matter which of our cottages you choose, we know you’ll enjoy every detail we’ve lovingly put in place for you.

Bosinver is a wonderful place to bring adults and children with specific special needs. It is a friendly, safe and relaxed environment and everyone is welcome to join in and interact with the animals at feeding time.

Our play barn has a soft play area and the whole family can chill out there. We have bed guards and booster seats and take care to make everything as safe as possible, inside the cottages and around the farm.

Limited mobility

Many of our cottages are suitable for people with limited mobility as they are single storey with level access and parking right outside the door including Pentree, Trerose, Cherry, Well Close and Pear. Some also have large walk in showers – all with grab rails and non-slip mats for extra comfort.

Wheelchair accessibility

Buddleia, Olearia and Lowen cottages and reception, the laundry, play barn, pool and games room are all wheelchair accessible.

Buddleia and Olearia have wide access doors and bathroom facilities for people in a wheelchair. Access to both cottages is level and there is parking alongside. Lowen’s ground floor is also fully accessible for wheelchair users and has a double bedroom and a wetroom on the ground floor. We also have a shower wheelchair and shower stools can be provided on request.

You can be sure your holiday at Bosinver need not cost the earth! Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do and we are proud to have won many awards for our achievements. We have been Gold members of the Green Tourism Business Scheme for over 10 years. Our aim is to give all our guests a magical, memorable holiday while minimising the impact we all have on the environment.

Lowen cottage is the jewel in our eco crown - Lowen means ‘happy’ in Cornish and also reflects its sustainable low-energy usage. Its structure was built using traditional methods from reclaimed timber and lime rendered straw bales but its renewable energy technologies are truly up to date – the cottage is energy self-sufficient, with PV panels and a ground source heat pump to provide electricity, heating and hot water to the house.

Personal service

We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and personal service – most of our guests return year after year and people often find us through recommendation from friends. As Katie Britton says: “Everything was thought of to make the holiday really special. Everyone we met was really friendly and helpful and we were made to feel really welcome. The facilities are outstanding, the cottages beautiful and Bosinver had been highly recommended to us”

Equipment and special requirements

For families with babies/toddlers we provide a raft of free equipment and can provide help with luggage, kit storage and the unpacking of grocery deliveries

In addition, for allergy sufferers we have 10 pet-free cottages and provide non-allergenic bedding, Paraben-free hand soap and products, and non-bio washing powder. We also have freezer meals for gluten and nut free/diabetics on request. For the hard of hearing we have a portable hearing loop in office and sound monitors for carers.
