Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa

About

Located just 90 minutes from the centre of London, close to the south coast and on the edge of the New Forest National Park, Chewton Glen is a true English original, offering all things to all people.

From the unique 72 bedrooms, including 14 romantic treehouses, to the award-winning spa and leisure facilities and state-of-the art James Martin cookery school, you’ll find an abundance of ways to revive the senses. Fourteen of our rooms are located on the ground floor ensuring you easy access without having to compromise on the comfort or tranquillity that you would expect from a hotel stay.

At Chewton Glen, we treat all our guests as individual and therefore we are able to cater to a range of people whatever their age or ability. The facilities at our luxury hotel in the New Forest are designed to be accessible allowing all of our guests to enjoy their stay with us.

The hotel has two designated parking spaces for Blue Badge holders located close to the hotel entrance which has been designed with wheelchair access in mind. We operate a porter assistance which covers both cars and luggage, allowing you to relax and have a stress free check in. When arriving at the hotel for check in, you’ll find level access to the main hotel, lounges and bar and we provide a portable ramp for guests that need additional support when accessing the restaurant and ground floor rooms.

Our disabled access rooms contain wider doors and have level access through to the terrace. The bathroom areas have been designed with you in mind, with grab rails and pull chords. The bedrooms are also fully equipped to be as accessible as possible with facilities for the hard of hearing. All of our staff have been trained in disability awareness and are happy to help with any additional requirements you may have.

If enjoying the tranquillity and picturesque atmosphere of the New Forest wasn’t enough, you can pamper yourself further by visiting the award-winning spa at Chewton Glen. Choose from a variety of treatments and facilities including tennis courts, dance studios, gyms, a golf course and an indoor pool as well as hydrotherapy pools, saunas, steam rooms and a number of specialists offering 50 different treatments and holistic therapies. The spa has a stair climber to enable easier access and hoists that can be used in both the indoor and outdoor pools as well as a specially designed disabled changing room so everyone in your party can enjoy the spa facilities.

Guests have the choice of two restaurants while staying at the hotel, The Dining Room and The Kitchen. For more formal dining, please take a look at The Dining Room where menus include our famous Chewton Glen Twice Baked Emmental Soufflé and our Thai Lobster Curry with Coconut Rice. The Kitchen offers a relaxed dining experience where you can watch the chefs at work. The a la carte menu features familiar family favourites such as wood fired pizzas, gourmet burgers, salads and more. All of the menus at the Chewton Glen have been carefully created to showcase local suppliers and home grown produce. Our kitchen staff are happy to cater for anyone with a special dietary requirement, so please do let us know if you have any specific needs.

The hotel is located on the outskirts of the beautiful New Forest National Park in Hampshire and close to the coastal towns of Bournemouth and Southampton. In addition to being just a stone’s throw from the glorious, rolling countryside of the New Forest where you are welcome to enjoy walks, picnics and spotting the wild horses that reside there, we are also close to Hampshire’s south coast. The beach is just as short walk away or you’re ideally based for exploring the Solent, getting a ferry across to the Isle of Wight or heading to the larger towns of Southampton and Portsmouth or towards Bournemouth in neighbouring Dorset.

The hotel itself is set within 130 acres of woodland, gardens and parkland which are home to a tennis centre, 9-hole golf course, heritage orchard, 70 working bee hives, walled kitchen garden and croquet lawn, so you needn’t travel far to find something to do during your stay.
