You'll find Newby Bridge Caravan Park nestled in tranquil woodland, just a short drive from the southern shores of Windermere. With a collection of self-catering accommodation — the majority of which is dog-friendly, some of the Lake District's top attractions on the doorstep, plus a selection of holiday homes for sale, we're the perfect choice for both short and long stays in Cumbria.
We have a range of self-catering accommodation which includes a selection of caravans, two spacious lodges, a Lakeland cottage, and two Hive Cabins.
Derwent is an accessible caravan with ramped access. This two-bedroom caravan is pet-friendly and sleeps up to four guests. Inside you'll find wide frame doors, a wet room with a toilet and shower (complete with height adjustable chair), and an open plan living and dining area. The fully equipped kitchen features low level appliances throughout. There is also a mobile electric hoist available to use, however, we do not supply slings so please bring your own or contact us for sling hire information.
Our picturesque park on the outskirts of Newby Bridge is just a stone's throw from some of the best things to see and do in the Lake District.
The ancient village of Cartmel is a short distance away and is home to the world famous Sticky Toffee Pudding. Visit the Cartmel Village Shop and treat yourself to this delicious and incredibly sticky pudding. The pudding was born in the Village Shop’s back kitchen 25 years ago. Word soon got out and everyone wanted some, so they had to move to a bigger kitchen. But the Sticky Toffee Pudding is still hand made using the same recipe. Well worth a visit!
And to the north lie the enthralling Lakeland fells and pristine waters for which the Lake District is famous for. You’ll be spoilt for choice with an abundance of visitor attractions to choose from. Sit back and relax on a scenic train ride, discover the world of Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth, or sample the local tipple in the distilleries and breweries. Alternatively, find your inner adventurer on the Via Ferrata, try the many water sports on offer, or for a slower pace, simply forget time as you wander through the quaint Lakeland villages and towns. There’s certainly enough to keep you returning time and time again.
And let’s not forget the iconic walking and hiking trails. From a gentle stroll around the picture-perfect tarns and waters, a ramble over the rolling hills or perhaps a climb into the rugged Lakeland fells - there’s something for everyone.
Surrounded by woodland and wildlife, Newby Bridge Caravan Park provides a retreat for those looking to escape the everyday and with a range of accommodation to suit all tastes, there is something rather special that keeps guests returning year after year.
