Primrose Hill Holidays is situated between Exmoor National Park and the Quantock Hills and offers self-catering holidays in a peaceful and secluded environment but within easy reach of all that West Somerset has to offer. Come and stay at Primrose Hill in our comfortable wheelchair accessible self catering bungalows with amazing sea and moorland views. The trains on the West Somerset Railway can be seen winding the way across fields.

Dogs are very welcome. Assistance dogs get a free holiday.

Ash Bungalow :

Ash has 2 bedrooms. A room with a king sized bed and a twin accessible room with one adjustable electric bed. (please note this is NOT a profiling bed)  The lounge and is comfortable with ramped access to the garden and the dining room has wonderful views. The kitchen and bathroom are both spacious. Ash has a slope up to the front door so may not be suitable for all wheelchair users.  There is additional access via the garden into the lounge.

Oak Bungalow :

Oak has two bedrooms. A good sized accessible bedroom with a kingsized bed and a smaller single bedroom. The kitchen and bathroom are both spacious. Oak has a lovely large lounge with ramped garden access and is a good choice if two families are on holiday together in adjacent bungalows as there is room for everyone to eat together. Oak is suitable for disabled guests and has a rise and recline chair.

Beech Bungalow :

Beech has two bedrooms. The roomy accessible twin with an adjustable electric bed (please note this is NOT a profiling bed) and a smaller non accessible bedroom with a double bed. The lounge is comfortable with ramped access to the garden. The kitchen and bathroom are both spacious. Beech is suitable for disabled guests. 


Elm Bungalow :

Elm has three bedrooms, one bedroom with a king size  bed  and  two single bedrooms. The sunny patio and side access to the garden is from the lounge/ diner. Elm is popular with families as the bedrooms are off the hall making them quieter for little people to sleep in!  Elm has level access and wide doors but the room layout makes it unsuitable for guests who use a wheelchair indoors.

We can supply additional aids to make your holiday more comfortable.

The private rear gardens with their amazing views are an ideal place to sit and relax All the gardens have a picnic table, chairs, parasol and a BBQ.

After a busy day exploring wonderful West Somerset the best place to be is in the accessible pretty front gardens, drink in hand, looking at the sunset.

The games room is equipped with a pool table, darts and table tennis and a selection of beach games as well as books for both adults and children.

There is a shared laundry room with an outside drying area and an iron and ironing board in each bungalow.

Maps and guide books are available to borrow and there are tourist information leaflets in the games room.

Road Directions

From Williton proceed on the A39 toward Minehead.  Ignore all signposts to Blue Anchor until reaching Carhampton.

 

At Carhampton turn right onto the (B3191) signposted Blue Anchor. After passing into Blue Anchor settlement you will see the Blue Anchor Garage on the right. On reaching this garage signal right and turn right following the brown Tourist sign “Primrose Hill Holidays” into Wood Lane.

 

Wood lane is a farm track. It has no road sign and really is an unmade track!.

 

Proceed up Wood lane and Primrose Hill is clearly marked on the left hand side.

 

Nb. If you find yourself going over the level crossing you have gone well past Wood Lane and need to retrace your route back towards the garage.

Public Transport Directions

Public transport is very limited. Wheelchair users can access trains on the West Somerset Railway.
