About

Our accessible 19th Century cottage is a perfect base to explore the beautiful delights of the Yorkshire Dales.  Enjoy the accessible walks at Bolton Abbey or take a ride on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, both of which are within 2 miles of the cottage.
For a longer day trip, you could perhaps venture a little further afield to the historic market town of Skipton, which is only 7 miles away. It is known as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and features a 900 year old castle, romantic looking ruins and a cobbled high street, giving you a real blast from the past.

Our cottage sleeps 6 guests over 3 twin bedrooms, one with electric profiling bed and a memory foam mattress. All three bedrooms are located on the first floor which is accessible via a lift from the lounge. The lift comes into the most accessible of the rooms, which features the electric profiling bed. All our beds are made up with hypo- allergenic duvets and pillows for your comfort and mobile hoists are also available, just let us know when booking.

Also on the first floor is the bathroom – which is a roll in wet room with adult changing table and a handheld shower overhead.  There is an additional WC on the ground floor. The main bathroom has support rails are situated next to the roll under sink and raised toilet.  The WC on the ground floor features a Closomat wash & dry toilet with support rails at both the toilet and the sink.
Please visit our website to see a full list of supplied equipment and do speak to us about mobile shower chairs & commodes as these are also available to guests.

The ground floor has a cosy kitchen diner, with a table that can easily seat up to six guests. It is fully equipped with adjustable hob and sink, cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, giving you complete flexibility and independence during your stay. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need, including a full range of cooking utensils and additional items such as blenders and baking equipment – perfect for those that love home cooking, are looking for a home from home get away or have set meal times. As we are in Yorkshire, we are also at the whim of the changeable British weather, and what could be better than baking cakes in a cosy kitchen while a storm howls outside?
For those of you who want a break from cooking, we also work with a number of caterers who will deliver food to your door at an additional cost.  Please get in touch with us for recommendations and to let us know of any food allergies, so we can advise you on the best caterers. All major supermarkets and one of our local farm shops also deliver to the area, so there is no need to worry about packing food items.

After a day of creating memories in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, you can relax in our cosy lounge with a movie or play a game. The lounge has a TV and DVD player, plus there is WiFi throughout, so you can stream your favourites or bring a DVD or two to enjoy in the evenings. The single wheel lift up to the bedrooms can be found in the lounge, giving you easy access to the first floor.

To the front of the property is a shared patio area with seating and a BBQ and to the rear is a large shared garden area with seating and log circle, perfect for summer evenings enjoying the plants and throwing a few sausages on the BBQ. These areas are shared with our group centre which is located next door, however, the areas are spacious allowing for privacy and plenty of room to make new friends. The cottage also comes with parking, which is within ten meters of the front door.

You can find out more about the cottage, the local area and the centre by visiting our website.
