    New laws have been introduced to help protect disabled people travelling around England, Scotland and Wales when using taxis and private hire vehicles. The new law has been described as the most significant change to taxi and private hire vehicle legislation in 12 years.

    Leeds Council and Visit Leeds produce new braille maps of the city

    Leeds City Council and Visit Leeds have teamed up with the Royal National Insitute of Blind People to increase accessibility for visitors exploring the city centre. Together they have created a brand new book full of braille tactile maps allowing visitors that are blind and partially sighted to explore the city’s best loved landmarks.

    UK’s top ten accessible beaches revealed

    Researchers from Middletons Mobility have revealed the UK’s top ten most accessible beaches, using information from customer reviews, as well as Disability Rights UK and TripAdvisor. According to the research, the area with the most accessible beaches is Dorset in the South West, which occupies four spaces on the list.
