The Haynes International Motor Museum is open 361 days of the year offers a fantastic day out. Located just two minutes off the A303 in South Somerset, inside you’ll find over 400 vehicles, from classic and vintage icons to F1 and Supercars. Founded by the creator of the famous Haynes Manuals, it is truly the home of motoring both past and present.

With a full programme of events running throughout the year and special activities at half terms and holidays, the Museum is the perfect destination for all ages. Upcoming activities include ‘Design a Car’, ‘Father’s Day’ and ‘Get Closer’ – plus a brand new, exclusive F1 Williams exhibition opening to the public this summer ‘The Drivers and the Driven.’

Road Directions

The Museum is located in Sparkford near Yeovil, just off the A303 and 30 minutes from junction 25 of the M5. High profile brown tourist signs from all major trunk roads provide easy to follow directions to the Museum. Free parking onsite.

Public Transport Directions

The Haynes International Motor Museum is easily located from all directions and is well connected by public transport to other areas in the UK.

By rail: The main line station at Castle Cary is 5 miles from the Museum, with its high speed link between Paddington and Penzance. The line also serves a regular daily route between Bristol and Weymouth with regular stops at Yeovil.

By bus: There are regular bus services to Sparkford Village from Castle Cary and Yeovil. Further information can be obtained from www.travelinesw.com or by calling 0870 608 2608.

By air: Bristol Airport with daily routes to New York and many other UK and European cities, is just 45 minutes drive from the Museum. Heathrow Airport is less than 2 hour drive and Gatwick Airport is only 2 and a quarter hours drive. Helicopter Landings are possible, please contact us to arrange this.
