Make your day out an adventure with a visit to Africa Alive. Explore the sights and sounds of Africa discovering lions, giraffe, meerkats, hunting dogs and many more amazing animals from the African continent!
ZSEA Africa Alive is set in 100 acres of stunning Suffolk countryside and is considered reasonably wheelchair and pushchair friendly. Visitors can enjoy a range of walks and displays that will take you past some of Africa's most endangered species, whilst also offering keen eyed guests the chance to spot a wide range of British wildlife.
The zoo endeavours to create an environment free from barriers and obstacles to ensure that its facilities and services are accessible to all. Viewing areas are designed with wheelchair users in mind allowing low level access and visibility.
The ‘Plains of Africa’ display, is the perfect place to spot five species of African savannah animals roaming together, including our graceful giraffe and heavyweight rhinos. ‘The Kingdom of the Lion’ provides visitors with a bird’s eye view of the zoo's magnificent lions and has ramp access available to the raised viewing area.
To round off the perfect family day out, the zoo offers an excellent choice of eating facilities and a fantastic gift shop, all of which include wheelchair access.
ZSEA Africa Alive offers discounted entry for disabled guests and offer carers entry at a reduced rate when visiting with their dependant.
