Situated in the countryside just five miles from the centre of Southport, Willowbank Holiday Park offers a relaxed retreat for holidaymakers throughout the year. Covering almost 30 acres, Willowbank boasts over 200 privately owned holiday homes, as well as 87 touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes.
Entirely fenced, Willowbank has good surfaces and well lit roads throughout with space for car parking at every plot. Because it is a level site our less able owners and those in wheelchairs find it easy to move around. There is a laundry onsite, as well as a football area and small children's playground, and locally a convenience store and post office. Now with a 50 week season, this is the time to treat yourself to a holiday home (there are always several new or pre-owned holiday homes for sale at Willowbank) or just enjoy your touring caravans for longer in Willowbank's pleasant relaxed surroundings. No gazebos or tents. Maximum two dogs and strictly no vans or commercial vehicles.
Separated from the coastal road by a belt of dense woodland. The site doesn't have a pub or club to ensure holidaymakers can relax surrounded by peace and unspoilt beauty at any time of the day or night. However, Willowbank is within easy reach of a wealth of attractions, including:
- Formby National Trust Reserve
- Formby beach - just 10 minutes away
- Sefton Coastline
- Southport Botanic Gardens
- Southport town centre - 5 miles away
- Southport Pier - just 15 minutes in a car
- Walking and cycling along The Trans Pennine Trail
- Martin Mere Wetlands Centre - just 30 minutes away
- Liverpool - just 40 minutes away
There are some great restaurants and bars to be found in the local villages of Ainsdale and Birkdale.

From the end of the M57/M58 motorway follow signs for Thornton on the A5036 and A5207. After 3 miles you will meet the A586. Follow this for 8 miles in the direction of Southport. After RAF Woodvale, which will be to the left, proceed to the traffic lights and turn left onto the coastal road. Willowbank is situated 150 yards on the left.
Frome Preston travel south on the A59 to the junction with the A565 at Tarleton. Follow the A565 through the centre of Southport and Ainsdale to the Woodvale traffic lights and turn right onto the coastal road. Willowbank is situated 150 yards on the left. Alterinitvely, to by-pass Southport, take the coastal road from the A565 at the traffic island; Willowbank will be on the right just before the traffic lights at the end of the coastal road.
Public transport and taxi services in the area are very good.
About 500m to the bus stop.
