About

We are Calvert Devon

A gold-standard outdoor activity centre where adventure has no limits!

Open to all and specialising in accessible activities for all abilities, we make the impossible possible.

Feel the rush of zooming down a zip wire, conquering the climbing wall, paddling across open water, and taking on thrilling challenges you never thought possible.

With expert support, specialist equipment and accommodation, we create epic and fully accessible adventures that break down barriers and build confidence, independence, and unforgettable memories that last a lifetime.

Our goal is to make this philosophy a reality and provide the best accessible adventure breaks for all.

People with physical, behavioural, sensory, learning and complex multiple disabilities have been visiting Calvert Devon since 1996, where they are encouraged to enjoy an exclusive range of adventurous activities and push themselves in a positive, safe, and challenging way.

Situated at Wistlandpound Reservoir on the edge of Exmoor National Park in North Devon, the fully accessible centre offers high-quality facilities and professionally adaptive accommodation nestled in the tranquil environment of the stunning countryside.

Whether guests are visiting by themselves, with family, friends or carers, or as part of a group, we provide breaks and activities for everyone regardless of age or ability.

Breaks at Calvert Devon are all inclusive. Accessible adventure activities, accommodation, dining, and the use of facilities such as the swimming pool are all included during a break.

The centre can accommodate up to 60 people at once for weekend, midweek or week long residential activity breaks. Accommodation consists of 20 bedrooms containing one, two or three single beds with en-suite wet rooms. Some rooms are interconnecting. We also have four bigger apartments which can sleep up to seven and have a self-catering kitchen. All accommodation and facilities are based around a beautiful square courtyard, providing a convenient and accessible route in and out to other areas and the on-site activities!
