Nestled within the 550-acre Leeds Castle estate, our accommodation offers guests the opportunity to extend their visit and experience the tranquillity of the grounds after the day visitors have departed. Whether you're planning a relaxing countryside escape, a family break or a special occasion, staying overnight provides a unique opportunity to enjoy the historic surroundings at your own pace.
Guests can choose from a range of accommodation, including the contemporary Knights' Retreat lodges and elegant bedrooms within the Stable Courtyard. Combining modern comforts with the character of the historic estate, each option has been thoughtfully designed to provide a welcoming and comfortable stay.
Leeds Castle is committed to making overnight stays as accessible as possible. We offer three accessible rooms, including two purpose-designed Knights' Retreat lodges and Paget, an accessible room within the Stable Courtyard. The accessible lodges feature level or ramped access from nearby dedicated parking, spacious open-plan living areas designed for wheelchair manoeuvrability, and fully equipped wet rooms to provide a comfortable and convenient stay. Paget, located on the ground floor of the Stable Courtyard, offers step-free access and provides an accessible option for guests wishing to stay within this historic part of the estate.
Every overnight stay includes complimentary access to Leeds Castle and its grounds from 1pm on the day of arrival and throughout your stay (subject to availability). Guests can explore more than 900 years of history within the Castle, wander through landscaped gardens, enjoy the maze, adventure play areas and Birds of Prey Centre, or simply take time to relax in the peaceful surroundings.

Leeds Castle is located 7 miles east of Maidstone, just off Junction 8 of the M20 motorway. The estate is approximately one hour from London, 30 minutes from the Channel Tunnel and Channel Ports, and around 30 minutes from the Dartford Crossing.
The Castle is clearly signposted from all major routes using brown and white tourist signs. If using a satellite navigation system, enter postcode ME17 1RG and, once you reach the A20, follow the brown and white tourist signs, as some navigation systems may direct you to a private entrance.

Leeds Castle can be reached by both bus and train.
The Stagecoach 510 bus service operates to Leeds Castle. On Saturdays, the service stops at the dedicated bus stop within the Castle grounds. On all other days, the bus stops outside the Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel, approximately a 12-minute walk from the Visitor Centre.
For train travel, Southeastern operates regular services to Bearsted and Hollingbourne stations, with direct trains from London Victoria (approximately 70–75 minutes) and Ashford International (approximately 25–30 minutes). From either station, Leeds Castle is around a 5-minute taxi journey or a 30–40 minute walk.
