About

Eat, Sleep, Discover – The Caban at Pendine

Located right on the seafront in Pendine, overlooking its iconic 7-mile stretch of golden sand, Caban is a welcoming and inclusive base from which to enjoy one of Wales’s most beautiful coastal areas. Named by The Guardian as “one of the 10 best new accommodations in Britain”, Caban offers a perfect mix of modern comfort, warm hospitality, and thoughtful accessibility.

With 14 stylish en-suite rooms – including spacious family rooms, dog-friendly options, and fully accessible ground-floor bedrooms with sea views – we cater to all kinds of getaways. Our accessible rooms include features such as walk-in wet rooms, handrails, emergency pull cords, and lowered mirrors. The hotel is wheelchair-friendly and has an accessible lift to the 1st floor, with free WiFi, flat-screen TVs, tea and coffee making facilities, and desk space for work or leisure.

We believe the beach is for everyone, and we’re proud to offer free beach wheelchair hire so that all guests can enjoy the incredible freedom of Pendine’s wide, accessible sands. With direct access to the promenade and beach, it’s never been easier to enjoy sea views, fresh air, and the joy of the coast.

Right outside The Caban, you’ll also find an accessible 12-hole crazy golf course, perfect for families and guests of all ages and abilities to enjoy some light-hearted fun. For younger children, there’s a safe, modern playground on-site, making The Caban an ideal destination for family breaks by the sea.

And if you’re looking to explore more of the local area, Pembrey Country Park is just a short drive away. One of Wales’s top visitor destinations, it boasts an 8-mile stretch of sandy beach, miles of walking and cycling trails, and a wide range of activities including a dry ski slope, toboggan run, and adventure play areas. Beach wheelchairs are also available at Pembrey, so everyone can enjoy the full coastal experience.

Back at Caban, our on-site licensed restaurant and bar is open 7 days a week. Enjoy barista coffee and a cooked breakfast in the morning, grab a hearty lunch or unwind in the evening with freshly prepared meals. We welcome walk-ins and offer both eat-in and takeaway options.

Whether you're looking for a relaxing retreat, an active family break, or an accessible adventure by the sea, Caban at Pendine is your home-from-home on the Carmarthenshire coast.
