About

We (Charlie and Julia) love welcoming guests. Between us we have a lifetime’s worth of hospitality experience: Charlie worked for the Savoy Group, The Halkin and St James’s Club in London; Julia spent fifteen years working in Hong Kong and America. We think our quality driven approach makes the Larkbeare brand very distinctive – following hot on the heels of our B&B success we wanted to create a luxury self-catering getaway to run alongside, making it the perfect package. And so, The Granary was opened in 2015.

The Granary is accessible to M1 standard with the National Accessibility Scheme.  Our latest addition is a Geberit Aquaclean.

Perfectly situated in East Devon countryside, 9 miles east of Exeter, 2 miles from the A30 dual carriageway.  Just half an hour from the beautiful East & South Devon coastlines (including the start of the Jurassic Coast) and world-famous Dartmoor, we offer you a great base in which to relax, explore and enjoy the whole of Devon.  Plus, we have a Pod Point EV charger.

6 miles after Honiton, turn left off the A30 at the ‘Daisymount’ exit, signed to Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton and Ottery St Mary

At first roundabout turn right, signed to Whimple

At second roundabout go straight, signed to Whimple

After ¼ mile turn right, signed to Larkbeare

After ½ mile turn left, signed to Larkbeare

Larkbeare Grange & The Granary is signed 1 mile on left

From A30 travelling east or from junction 29 of M5 (8 miles) [do not use junction 28]

Take signs to Honiton

After 6 miles turn left off the A30 at the ‘Daisymount’ exit, signed Ottery St Mary and Whimple

At roundabout turn left, signed Whimple
