If you use the post code B49 6JD or What3Words inspected.response.pursuing, you will arrive at the Spernal Lane entrance to our properties and this is by far the best way to reach us. Alternative routes involve passing through a ford in the road and this can be impassable at times - we therefore strongly recommend that you take this route.
If traveling on Spernal Lane approaching from the village of Great Alne, you will travel approx 1.5 miles. when you see the first right hand turning to Shelfield Green (do not take this turning), prepare to take the next left onto the track to Windmill Barns (signposted).
PLEASE DO NOT GO INTO HOPE BARN OR NEW END FARM AS THESE ARE JUST BEFORE THE TURN THAT YOU NEED TO MAKE - the good news is that if you are by either of these, you are very close to the turning.
If you arrive on Spernal Lane from the Studley direction via the A435 then please continue approx 3 miles, passing 1 turn on your left Shelfield (do not take this turning) and take the track on the right when you see the sign for Windmill Barns, if you reach the village of Great Alne and The Mother Huff Cap pub, you have gone too far!
Please drive slowly and carefully down the stone track (approx. 10 miles p/hr) for a mile until you reach us on the right, you cannot miss us, we are the only property on the lane. PLEASE DO NOT VEER OFF THE ROAD, THE VERGES ARE VERY SOFT AND YOU MAY GET STUCK. There are a number of passing places on the track, if you do meet anyone, you should pass each other at one of these passing points.
We are in a truly secluded location, at the top of Windmill Hill and accessed by it's own farm track. The nearest village is the Coughton (home of Coughton Court), the nearest market town is Alcester (listed as one of the top 20 places to live in the UK), with Stratford upon Avon (home of Shakespeare) only a few miles away.
