About

Hoe Grange Holidays provides accessible self-catering holiday accommodation in the stunning Peak District with a difference. Based on a working farm in the rolling Derbyshire hills, these cosy log cabins provide a real home from home where you can relax, reconnect and make new memories with your loved ones.

David, Felicity and Caroline Brown provide multi award winning accessible accommodation in four purpose-built log cabins, all with amazing views of the surrounding countryside, with wide open dark night skies. Located in the White Peak, Hoe Grange is the perfect base for exploring Chatsworth House, Dovedale and the towns of Ashbourne, Bakewell and Buxton.

Choose from a wide range of additional access equipment to meet your specific needs, including hoists, shower chairs and profile beds, all free of charge.

Our Log Cabins

All the log cabins have a modern chic design with luxury and comfort built in. Three of the cabins - Daisybank, Rainster and Hipley - are fully wheelchair accessible and sleep up to four people. The large open plan kitchen/lounge areas have ample space for wheelchairs and are equipped with rise and recline armchairs, TV, stereo, good lighting and stunning views. Although the kitchens in Hipley and Rainster have no adaptations, everything is (or can be) on a lower level. The kitchen in Daisybank has space under the sink for wheelchair users.

Daisybank, Rainster and Hipley have fitted spacious wet-rooms, with grab rails, good lighting and a selection of mobile shower chairs. Daisybank and Rainster have adjustable sinks and Hipley has a Closomat wash dry toilet giving greater independence. Each cabin also has a second bathroom fitted with a double ended whirlpool bath.

The twin accessible rooms are equipped with profiling beds and room to operate one of the two mobile hoists available; the second bedroom can be made up as a double or a twin room.

Pinder cabin sleeps up to six in three bedrooms (two doubles and a twin), has level thresholds throughout and is suitable for those who can walk a few steps. The shower has a small step into the cubical and can be fitted with a grab rail and seat if needed. With the addition of toilet frame and seat riser, this is the ideal accommodation for larger groups.

There is more accommodation available on site in the form of our gorgeous glamping pods, and whereas these are not specifically accessible, they make great additional rooms for larger parties of up to 24.

Get outdoors

All cabins have large decking areas easily accessed by wheelchair, with outdoor furniture and uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside. Daisybank and Pinder cabins have their own private hot tub, with a manual hoist available for the one on Daisybank deck.

The Peak District is probably the most accessible of the National Parks, with many of the iconic tourist attractions easily accessible by wheelchair. The trails that criss-cross the landscape are often fully accessible with some being disused railways with firm level paths that go deep into the stunning landscape.

Off-road wheelchair hire

We have two Boma 7 off-road wheelchairs available for hire to help wheelchair users and those with limited mobility to really access the countryside, join in with the family walks and re-engage with the great outdoors. These powerful battery-operated rugged machines will tackle most fields, footpaths and trails and have a range of up to 15 miles. With easy to use controls, you will soon be confidently whizzing around the countryside.

Help at hand

As a small, family-run business, we provide a personalised welcome – making sure you have all the equipment you need and sharing top Peak District recommendations tailored to you. We live on site and are available to assist if any problems should arise.

There is a small onsite shop which stocks basic supplies such as milk, butter, meats and ice cream from local suppliers, as well as local arts and crafts.
