About

An upscale beach-chic brasserie, Oyster Box combines contemporary style with a stunning location in the heart of St Brelade’s Bay. Guests can enjoy panoramic views across the sands of Jersey’s most popular beach while relaxing in the stylish airy dining room, or watching the tide roll in from the beautiful beachside terrace. With a focus on seafood, including sustainably-sourced fish and local Jersey Rock oysters, the menu offers an eclectic mix of meat, fish, vegan, and vegetarian dishes to suit all tastes, as well as seasonal specials. Whether it’s something simple – fresh picked crab taglierini, local hand-dived scallops, aged fillet steak, or bass with local samphire – or something different, like Moroccan-inspired grilled octopus or Thai monkfish curry, the regularly-changing menu encapsulates the best ingredients from local markets and suppliers with inspiration from the beautiful coastal surroundings.

For the perfect accompaniment, there is a full wine and drinks list with a wide selection of wines, beer, cider, and alcohol-free beverages, including refreshing cocktails and mocktails to sip as the sun goes down.

The restaurant provides a full allergen menu of the fourteen main food allergens (including cross-contamination risks), so that guests with allergies can dine with confidence. There is also a complete allergen process in place, to minimise risks at every stage of dish ordering and preparation. Also included on the menu is a selection of plant-based, gluten-free, and dairy-free options, for those with special dietary requirements or choices. For little ones, Oyster Box offers a children’s menu with child-friendly choices and portion sizes, including popular choices like battered fish and tomato linguine, or healthier choices like grilled chicken or fish, with peas and new potatoes.

As part of the JPRestaurants group, a family-run business established in Jersey more than 75 years ago, Oyster Box prides itself on its position in the local community: passionate about the island of Jersey, its environment, and its people. Team members are paid at least a Living Wage, and the restaurant operates a tip-free approach with no additional service charges. Close attention is paid to sustainable and responsible food sourcing, and efforts are taken to minimise the restaurant’s impact on the environment.

The group also includes the Jersey Crab Shack restaurants, situated next door and also in St Helier and Gorey – a more casual venue with a focus on chilled family get-togethers. As well as the sophisticated central brasserie, Banjo, based in the heart of St Helier’s historic market district.
