About

Enjoy fresh woodland air and a warm drink at Alice Holt Forest. We have plenty of different trails and exciting play areas for you to discover!

If peace and quiet in the trees is what you're after then try our Walking and Wellbeing trails, set within the 247 hectares of our stunning forest. Our 2km Easy Access Trail is suitable for most wheelchairs and pushchairs. The trail has an optional shortcut with benches along the whole route, allowing visitors to learn and connect with nature at their own pace.

Near our friendly visitor centre we have an inclusive play area designed for every child to enjoy. Our wheelchair accessible roundabout and basket swing allow children of all abilities to have fun, and create memories in nature.

The Alice Holt inclusive cycling fleet has a wide range of bikes to make cycling accessible to everyone. The volunteers will help choose the right bike for you, and show you how to ride and where to go in the forest. Sessions are held every Thursday morning from 9.30am to 12.30pm and are open and on a first come first served basis. You can spend as much time as you like on the bikes between the advertised times and tickets are £3, with carers riding for free!

Our Changing Places facilities allow you to enjoy our woodland without worry. The large, clean, and safe facilities are suitable for children and adults, designed with users dependent on carers in mind. They are complete with a wall mounted and height adjustable bench, ceiling and hoop hoist, peninsular toilet, adjustable height washbasin, and privacy screen.

So whether you are following in the Gruffalos footsteps, enjoying some peace and quiet in the forest, or getting active with a bike - Alice Holt Forest has everything that you and your family need to enjoy a day out in nature.
