About

Discover Arlington Court, a hidden gem on the edge of Exmoor. Once the home of the Chichester family for over 500 years, it houses a fascinating collection of treasures, from model ships to seashells. Inside the house that was built in 1823 and expanded in 1860, you’ll find a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with a homely feel.

The Carriage Museum offers plenty to explore with over 40 carriages, each with its own story to tell. Discover the Formal Victorian Garden, where you’ll find a conservatory and a Walled Kitchen Garden supplying fresh produce to the tea-room.

Keep little ones entertained with a trail of things that don’t belong in the house or take part in one of the seasonal trails around the gardens and grounds.

For those who love the outdoors, Arlington offers over 20 miles of scenic footpaths, perfect for both gentle walks and more challenging adventures. Whether you visit in spring, summer, autumn, or winter, you’ll be treated to peaceful landscapes and great views over the estate.

The Old Kitchen Tea-room is also onsite for a tasty treat, warm drink or light bite. Or pop into the shop to browse our wide range of gifts and souvenirs, along with treats for your four-legged friends.

We have two Trampers (all terrain mobility scooters) available to hire, please call 01271850296 ahead of your visit to book. Our shuttle buggy is also available most days to transport visitors from Visitor Reception to the gardens, Carriage Museum, café and house.
