About

Birdland Park & Gardens is located in the heart of the Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Water and is home to more than 500 birds from around the world. Set within nine acres of landscaped gardens, mature woodland and along the banks of the River Windrush, the park offers visitors the opportunity to discover a wide variety of bird species in a peaceful natural setting.

As you explore the park's pathways, you'll encounter colourful parrots, flamingos, pelicans, cranes, owls and birds of prey, alongside rare and endangered species including the Waldrapp Ibis. The Out of Africa area is home to hornbills, village weavers and other African bird species, while over 50 aviaries and spacious riverside habitats showcase birds from across the globe.

Penguin Shore is home to England's only breeding group of King Penguins, as well as Humboldt Penguins. The Pandemonium of Parrots features a colourful collection of parrots, including macaws and lorikeets. Daily keeper talks and feeding sessions provide opportunities to learn more about the birds and watch them up close.

Families can explore the Jurassic Journey woodland trail, where life-sized dinosaurs are hidden amongst the trees, and younger visitors can enjoy the fossil dig area.

Visitors are welcome to explore the park at their own pace while enjoying the gardens, woodland and riverside setting. Keeper talks and feeding demonstrations take place throughout the day, offering opportunities to learn more about the birds in our care. Whether you're visiting with family, are interested in wildlife and conservation, or simply looking to enjoy the Cotswolds, Birdland Park & Gardens offers a relaxed and engaging day out for all ages.
