Dalby Forest, in the heart of the North York Moors National Park offers the perfect place to escape, relax and adventure.

Home to over 8,500 acres of breath-taking views, endless walking, running and cycle trails and Gruffalo adventures, a great day out awaits at Dalby Forest.

A visit to Dalby will uncover many magical things such as The Gruffalo orienteering course, some of the very best mountain biking trails and endless stunning views. Keep your eyes peeled along the way for our unique sculptures which are dotted throughout the forest, get the adrenaline pumping at Dalby Activity Centre or test your nerve and swing amongst the trees on our Go Ape courses.

Dalby Forest is home to an abundance of internationally important wildlife species and is also a designated Dark Sky Discovery Site, where you can experience the magic of seeing the Milky Way with the naked eye.

Prices for admission into the forest are as follows:
Up to 30 minutes - Free
Up to 1 hour - £3
Up to 2 hours - £6
Up to 3 hours - £9
Up to 4 hours - £12
Over 4 hours - £15

  • Dietary requirements catered for - A selection of food is offered for a range of dietary requirements. 
  • Quieter table  - A table located in a quieter area is available, where noise is minimised. 
  • Wheelchair-accessible food and beverage outlet - There is at least one wheelchair-accessible food and beverage outlet on site.

  • Assistive listening system - There is an assistive listening system available e.g. a hearing loop.   
  • Disability awareness / equality training - Disability awareness / equality training is provided for staff. 
  • Emergency alarm with flashing lights - There is an emergency alarm with flashing lights, to alert deaf guests to a fire or other emergency scenario. 
  • Emergency evacuation plan for disabled people - Personal or General Emergency Evacuation Plans are in place for disabled customers. 
  • Facilities for assistance dogs - Facilities are available for assistance dogs e.g. water bowls, toilet area, within the grounds of the venue or nearby.
