Hertfordshire Zoo is committed to making wildlife accessible and enjoyable for everyone, with step-free routes, accessible viewing areas, parking and toilets, plus a Changing Places facility. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available to hire, alongside accessible play equipment and plenty of seating. Sensory bags, including noise-cancelling headphones and fidget toys, are available for visitors who may benefit from them, and trained staff are on hand to support visitors with additional access needs. Free carer admission is also available for eligible visitors, helping everyone enjoy a memorable day at the zoo.
Voted Hertfordshire’s No.1 Outdoor Attraction by Tripadvisor, Hertfordshire Zoo is home to more than 800 exotic wild animals, from the magnificent Amur tiger to the tiny pygmy marmoset. The zoo is committed to creating an enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages and abilities. The team works to ensure that everyone can enjoy the animals, habitats and attractions, making it a welcoming destination for families, disabled visitors and those with additional access requirements.
Hertfordshire Zoo is also Europe’s leading attraction for animal experiences, giving visitors the opportunity to encounter some incredible species up close. One of its most famous experiences is ‘Feed a Big Cat’, where visitors can hand-feed an Amur tiger, alongside opportunities to meet the mischievous meerkats and other fascinating animals. Importantly, funds raised through the animal experiences help support the conservation, welfare and care of animals at the zoo and in the wild.

Hertfordshire Zoo is situated just off the A10 near to junction 25 of the M25. Simply follow the brown and white tourist signs!

If you require transport to Hertfordshire Zoo from Broxbourne Train Station, there is a taxi rank based at Broxbourne Train Station which is a 5-minute journey from Hertfordshire Zoo.
