Road Directions
Driving Directions (Approx. 20 minutes, 6.5 miles)
Departing St. Helier
- Head northwest on Esplanade for 250 ft.
- Turn left onto Castle Street (400 ft).
- At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the La Route de la Libération/A1 ramp towards Airport/Ring Road (0.2 miles).
Main Route via St. Peter
- Merge onto La Route de la Libération/A1 (0.2 miles).
- Continue straight onto Victoria Avenue/A2 (1.2 miles) – enjoy the coastal views!
- Turn right onto La Rue du Galet (0.1 miles).
- Turn left onto St Aubin’s Road/A1 (0.4 miles).
- Continue onto La Vallée de Saint-Pierre/A11 (2.2 miles) – this scenic valley road takes you through the countryside.
- Continue onto Route de la Vallée (1.1 miles), which will curve slightly right and become Rue de la Rosière (0.4 miles).
Final Approach to La Mare Wine Estate
- Turn right onto La Verte Rue (335 ft).
- Slight left onto La Grande Rue (0.6 miles) – you're now close!
- Turn left onto La Rue de la Hougue Mauger – La Mare Wine Estate will be on your right.
Parking
Ample free parking is available on-site.
Public Transport Directions
By bus: Hop on the no 7 or no 5 (this turns into no 7 inbound but still stops at La Mare) at Liberation Station in St Helier. There’s a stop directly opposite the Estate. (Approx 25 minutes - a great way to see Jersey.)
By bike: Hire a bike at Jersey Bus station (which you can also pop on the bus if you need to) or hire an electric bike.
