About

Hands-On Farming Fun for The Whole Family At Longdown Activity Farm

Bottle-feeding kid goats and calves, holding fluffy chicks, collecting freshly laid eggs, and feeding the ducks are just some of the hands-on activities the whole family can enjoy at Longdown Activity Farm.

There are many other friendly animals to meet around the farm, including cows, alpacas, Pygmy goats, donkeys and ponies – don’t miss cheeky Chesney the Shetland and Blue the Shire. Also, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, a very large tortoise called Jeffery, ducks, chickens, and geese - plus plenty of babies, large and small.

The all-inclusive outdoor play area offers fun for everyone, featuring a wheelchair-accessible swing suitable for all ages. There’s a zip wire, play tractors, swings, climbing frame, brilliantly bouncy trampolines, and a sandpit complete with mud kitchens (including an accessible kitchen) and diggers. Children will also love the Pitchfork and Putt crazy golf course*, the ride-on toy tractors and go-karts, and Little Farmers’ Play Yard – a simulated pen to muck out – without the poop!

The popular - and delightfully bumpy - tractor and trailer ride is not to be missed! There’s no extra charge (weather and ground conditions permitting).

Longdown Activity Farm is proud to offer a Changing Room facility complete with an adult-sized changing bed and lifting hoist for visitors who require these amenities.

A visit to the Farm Shop is the perfect way to round off the day, where visitors can browse a range of delicious, locally sourced produce before heading home.

*Small extra charge.
