Thermae Bath Spa is Britain’s original natural thermal spa, located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath. As the only spa in the UK where you can bathe in naturally warm, mineral-rich waters, Thermae offers a truly unique wellness experience steeped in over 2,000 years of bathing history. The New Royal Bath features the iconic open-air Rooftop Pool with panoramic views across Bath, the grand Minerva Bath, a Wellness Suite with infrared room, ice chamber, and aroma steam rooms, and the Springs Café. Guests enjoy a two-hour Thermae Welcome spa session with complimentary use of towels and robes. Open 365 days a year, Thermae Bath Spa is an adults-only spa (minimum age 16) welcoming visitors from around the world seeking relaxation, rejuvenation, and a connection with Bath’s ancient thermal spring waters.

Road Directions

Thermae Bath Spa is located in Bath Street, 200 yards from Bath Abbey, in the city centre. From the M4 motorway, exit at Junction 18 and follow signs for Bath City Centre. The spa is within walking distance of all central car parks and Park and Ride stops. Park and Ride services operate from Lansdown (north), Odd Down (south), and Newbridge (west), with drop-off points a 5–10 minute walk from the spa.

Public Transport Directions

Bath Spa railway station is approximately a 10-minute walk from Thermae Bath Spa, with regular direct services from London Paddington (approx. 80 minutes) and Bristol Temple Meads (approx. 15 minutes). National Express coaches run from London Victoria, Heathrow, and Gatwick to Bath. Local bus services also stop in the city centre, within easy walking distance of the spa.
