Access For All

We welcome all visitors and will try our best to provide as much help as we possibly can.

Visually impaired guests are admitted free of charge together with a seeing guide accompanying them. Evidence of disability may be requested.

West Midlands Safari Park is proud to partner with Nimbus Disability, operators of the Access Card scheme, who will now process all ‘Essential Companion’ (previously ‘Carer’) eligibility.  You can find out more about our Essential Companions policy here. 

Wheelchair Friendly

The natural contours of the land mean that some areas have differing gradients. However, these have been minimised where possible. All our enclosures are accessible by tarmac or hard surface walkways with wheelchair access.

Free Wheelchair Hire

Available at our Information Point are a limited amount of manual wheelchairs. These can be hired for free, but they must be pre-booked via phone on 01299 402114. A driving licence or similar will be required as a returnable safety deposit. Our staff members are very willing to accommodate all our guests and are happy to deliver the wheelchairs to the car park area.

Disabled Toilets

Disabled access toilets are located in the main car park area, Dino Diner, Treetops Pavilion, Cellarz, the Discovery Trail and Adventure Theme Park area. All toilets have level access for wheelchairs, lever arm taps to low basins and handrails. Toilets in Dino Diner, Treetops Pavilion and Adventure Theme Park area also have an emergency pull cord. Adult changing facilities are available in the main car park toilet block. This is a 12m2 Changing Places approved Adult Changing Room with an adjustable changing table, WC and fixed wash basin. Unfortunately, there is no shower facility. The room is fitted with an XY track system and powered hoist with a Standard 2-point spreader bar – no harnesses are provided. This facility will require a RADAR key. The Disabled Toilets do not require a RADAR key.

West Midlands Safari Park is an award-winning visitor attraction, located in Worcestershire in the heart of England. It is home to a variety of all-weather attractions, including four miles of drive-through safari, the largest animatronic dinosaur exhibit in the UK and a theme park.

With its combination of amazing animals, exciting theme park rides and awesome exhibits, West Midlands Safari Park is the ultimate family day out.

Safari Drive-Through

The four-mile self-drive safari is home to some of the world’s most beautiful and critically endangered animals. Split into African and Asian areas, almost all of the animals are free-roaming and can literally walk straight past your car. Come face-to-face with species such as lions, tigers, rhinos, giraffes, elephants, cheetahs and more.

Discovery Trail

The walk-through Discovery Trail is a fantastic all-weather attraction, hosting a number of animal exhibits and a variety of encounters, talks and shows. Visit Penguin Cove, Reptile House, Lorikeet Landing, Aquarium, and the Bat Cave.
In addition to all of the exhibits, there are daily feeds, talks and encounters, including the fantastic Sea Lion Show, where our fabulous California sea lions show off their amazing behaviours, both in and out of the water.

Land of the Living Dinosaurs

Step back in time as you come face to face with some of the largest, most unusual and fearsome animals to ever roam the planet. Land of the Living Dinosaurs features over 40 life-size, animatronic dinosaurs, making it the largest animatronic dinosaur attraction in the UK.

Ice Age

Continue the prehistoric adventure and venture into the UK’s largest Ice Age exhibit. Ice Age is an immersive, multi-sensory experience, allowing guests to step back in time and walk amongst the magnificent creatures that roamed the Earth millions of years ago.

African Village

The African Village houses the lemurs and meerkats, plus a walk-through area where you can feed the friendly sheep and goats.

On the way to the Village, make sure you look out for the pod of wallowing hippos. This is one of the largest pods in the UK and there is a chance to feed them and learn all about their different personalities at the daily Hippo Encounters.

Boj’s Giggly Park Play Area

Boj’s Giggly Park is an immersive, multi-sensory and themed children’s play area, located next to the Park’s African Village. Here, children can explore and play in the five interactive zones, designed specifically for younger visitors.

Adventure Theme Park

If a whole host of animal attractions wasn’t enough, there is also a theme park to make your day even more exciting. The Adventure Theme Park is open daily from 11am during the summer season and has a variety of rides, suitable for all of the family.
