Wyre Forest is the largest woodland National Nature Reserve in the country and can be found to the west of Birmingham.
Explore the “Valley of the Giants” and visit the arboretum to find the unusual Whitty Pear. You may even find a Gruffalo hiding in the woods
Whether you’re looking for adventure, or a place to relax, Wyre Forest has something for everyone. With a variety of walking, cycling, running and horse trails available, there's plenty of ways to explore the forest.
We have Trampers available to hire for those with limited mobility. Trampers are off-road mobility scooters, which are easy to use and able to tackle a range of surfaces and gradients come rain or shine. You do not have to be registered disabled to hire a Tramper and we offer a loyalty scheme for regular visitors.
Our on-site café will keep you fuelled throughout the day, whilst our Go Ape course will keep the kids (and adults!) entertained. We've even got a dog wash on-site to keep your pooch pampered.
Those looking for a more peaceful time can enjoy the more remote spots in the heart of the forest. Wyre Forest is known for its wildlife, with plenty of birds to spot including wood warbler, grey wagtails and kingfishers. There is also a significant butterfly and moth population as well as a variety of other woodland creatures such as deer, dormice, otters, and adders.
Regular visitors can save money a Forestry England membership. You’ll also be supporting our work of caring for the forest. Find out more here.
