You’re in for some fantastic family fun at Yorkshire Wildlife Park! As well as being an absolutely breathtaking Walkthrough Wildlife Adventure, Yorkshire Wildlife Park is also a dynamic centre for conservation and welfare, with nearly 400 animals and 70 different species of animal – including the only polar bears in England!

Situated in Branton, just 4 miles from Doncaster town centre, the park occupies 70 acres of a 260 acre site, allowing a unique view into the world of animals and letting you get up close and personal with some of the most magnificent animals on the planet.

Don’t miss the pride of Yorkshire at Lion Country, home to the famous rescued Romanian Lions and meet some of the most beautiful and endangered animals in the world, including Amur tigers at Land of the Tiger and Amur leopards at Leopard Heights. Yorkshire Wildlife Park work closely with charities to help the conservation of endangered species in the wild and captivity.

The award-winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park is also home to amazing walkthrough enclosures which allow you to get closer to the animals than ever before! Walk with the Lemurs in Lemur Woods, hop along in Wallaby Walkabout and feel the Latin vibe in South America Viva.

Be sure to visit our brand new reserves: Experience Ethiopia, composed of two areas, Hyenas of Harar, with spotted hyena and Simien Mountains, with a troop of Gelada Monkeys, and Himalayan Pass where you can visit Red Pandas and Smooth Coated Otters which in the wild are found on the mountain slopes and in the valleys of the Himalayas in Asia.

There are also exciting events happening throughout the year at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. From our famous festive celebrations to our Summertime spectaculars, you’re guaranteed to make some amazing memories at one of our special event days!

Road Directions

Yorkshire Wildlife Park can be easily accessed by car from the A1 and M1 via the M18. Exit the M18 at Junction 3 and follow signs for the airport. Continue along the Great Yorkshire Way (A6182) until you reach the second roundabout. Take the 1st exit and stay on Great Yorkshire Way for approximately one mile. At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Hurst Lane and continue straight. Once over the railway bridge take the left lane and first exit at the roundabout, follow signs to Yorkshire Wildlife Park car parking. Priority / accessible car parking is also available.

Public Transport Directions

By Train Doncaster is very accessible by train, please click here for more information.

By Bus Take the No. 57 bus to Finningley from Stand A4 at the Frenchgate Centre, Doncaster to Branton village. Get off the bus just before the Post Office and the pedestrian access to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park is up Brockholes Lane which is opposite. No access for vehicles this way. From Finningley direction, get off the bus at the Three Horseshoes pub in Branton.
