Park Cottage:

Our delightful stone cottage has been awarded National Accessibility Level M1 & M2.

We have a high level of accessibility at Cossington Park. Park Cottage, sleeping up to 6 guests, is suitable for a person with restricted walking ability who may need to use a wheelchair some of the time. There is a wheelchair ramp allowing access for both wheelchair users and the less mobile.

The ground floor of the cottage is all on one level with a wooden floor throughout. The large light kitchen/dining/sitting room provides a relaxed and contemporary living space. Glass double doors blur the lines between inside and the outside, making the decking area, al fresco dining area, barbecue and garden easily accessible for outdoor living. Our small walled garden is wheelchair-friendly and is also fitted with handrails.  A variety of birds visit the garden and our little nesting box is regularly in use.

Also on the ground floor is a double-twin room and an accessible wet-room with shower seat and grab rails.

There are a further two bedrooms on the first floor – a double, and a twin that can also be made into a double. There is also a family bathroom.

The beds are super-comfortable with middle-firmness mattresses, soft duvets and luxury cotton sheets, and you’ll find a generous bundle of soft white towels in each room.

There is also a step-free route from the side door of Park Cottage to the back door of Park House. There are two ramps on the route and no steps into Park House. There are steps within Park House.

Pets and service dogs are welcome if arranged in advance.

Map & Directions

Road Directions

Cossington Park is located in the village of Cossington in Somerset, between Glastonbury and Bridgwater and on the edge of the Polden Hills and the Somerset Levels. We are only three miles (five kms) from the M5, Junction 23.

From Heathrow, London and the South-east and East, head west along the M4 towards Bristol and Wales. Just after Bristol, the M4 intersects with the M5. Turn south on the M5. After 36 miles (58 kms) you reach Junction 23.

From Wales and most areas in the Midlands and the North, head southwards down the M5 to Junction 23.

At Junction 23 on the M5, turn off the motorway and head towards Glastonbury. Continue onto the A39 towards Glastonbury. Take left turn signposted Cossington.

Follow the main road round a right hand bend. Cossington Park is less than 100 yards/metres from here on the right hand side,

An alternative route from London is via the M3. About 60 miles (96 kms) from London, take a left fork off the M3 onto the A303. Follow this (looking out for Stonehenge on the way) until a large roundabout where the A303 intersects with the A37. Take the A372 for only a few hundred yards/metres, then turn right on the B3151. Follow this past Somerton towards Street. Several miles before Street you pass through the village of Compton Dundon, after which you drive up a steep hill and, at the very top of the hill, turn left. Follow this road over Walton Hill, admiring the view on both sides (Glastonbury Tor is to your right), and down into Walton. Turn left on the A39, heading towards Bridgwater. After 5 or 6 miles (8 to 10 kms), turn right, signposted towards Cossington. Then follow the directions above.
