The Anglers Rest is a unique and special place. In 2013 it was purchased by over 300, mostly local people. It is now run for the benefit of the community.
The Anglers pub serves delicious freshly cooked bar meals with a regularly changing menu of specials, as well as a good choice of meals for children. Sunday lunches beside our real fire in winter or in the beer garden in summer are popular.
The Rest café offers light meals, delicious cakes baked on the premises, as well as hot and cold drinks. Many dishes are gluten-free or vegan.
Where possible we aim to use food or drink that has been grown, raised or made in the Peak Park/High Peak.
With five hand pulls, we always have a wide selection of fabulous real ales. As a LocAle pub, we are enthusiastically committed to sourcing beers from the local area and were awarded the Sheffield and District CAMRA District pub of the year 2017 for our outstanding selection of quality craft beers.
The Anglers Rest offers something for everyone including a large car park, cycle racks and cycle station. Walkers and dogs welcome. Disabled access outdoor seating.
We also hold a wide range of events including a weekly pub quiz, poker nights. We hold regular live music events and there is a monthly folk night. Our café doubles as an art gallery, with a regularly changing exhibitions.
By paying us a visit you are not just enjoying a pint, a coffee or buying a stamp, you are also helping to sustain a community!
