Why? Because it’s good for us – especially for those with deafblindness. Fresh air and gentle exercise can help us to reduce stress and anxiety, sharpen short-term memory and concentrate better. At times, the everyday challenges of deafblindness can leave you feeling a little low. So, let’s get out and about to feel great again!

What can I do for Deafblind Awareness Week?

Make an effort to get out and about this week. Don’t forget to tell everyone that you’re supporting Deafblind Awareness Week – why not take a photo and post it on social media with the hashtag #DeafblindAwarenessWeek.

You could also ask friends and family to sponsor you and raise some money for Deafblind UK at the same time! Don’t forget to ask us for a sponsorship form and a collection pot.
Here are some ideas of things to do outdoors:

  • Go for a walk in your local park
  • Have a picnic
  • Do some gardening
  • Visit the beach
  • Go fruit picking
  • Go birdwatching
  • Hold a garden party
  • Go camping

If you’re feeling more adventurous then take part in our tandem skydiveWing Walk or The Great East Swim?
