Monkey World in Dorset are hosting two autism friendly days at their base on 5th October and 16th November. On these two days, visitors will be admitted into the park an hour before public opening and additional facilties will be in place throughout the day. 

There is no need to pre-book to attend on either day, on your arrival, guests will be allowed into the park an hour before public opening and all gates will be opened to reduce the amount of queuing. Staff will be on hand to offer any help or advice and will have received training so they are able to assist anyone with additional needs. 

On both the autism-friendly days, a calm room will be available for use all day for anyone who needs to get away from the main park, the room will be well sign posted with signs dotteda round the park to help you navigate. The room is equipped with tables, chairs, blankets and sensory equipment, as well as a sound system for anyone who would like to use it, but please feel free to bring your own items with you. In addition, the First Aid Hut is open for use as an adult changing room. 

Around the park there are several sensory statues, these will be unlocked and available for guests throughout the entire day. Guests are also welcome to use the sensory park, which is marked out with signs.
