Mother’s Day falls on 22nd March in the UK this year, so we thought we’d put together a few ideas of accessible things you can do together. Whatever your budget or interests, these should be a good start in helping you do something special with your mum or any other special mother figure in your life.
1 Head to the spa

Everyone likes being pampered and it’s even better when you can indulge in spa treatments together. There are several accessible spas across the UK, click here to find out more.
2 Go on a picnic
Of course this is weather dependent and you are at the mercy of British weather! Why not head to one of the accessible parks and gardens and enjoy some of your favourite snacks while admiring the spring flowers together?
3 Treat her to brunch
Everyone loves a treat, so why not take your mum somewhere for a bite to eat? It doesn’t have to be anywhere fancy and it doesn’t have to cost the earth, she’ll just love the thought and the chance to spend time with you. You can find details of accessible places to eat here.
4 Take in dinner and a show
With the number of relaxed performances and cinema showings taking place all over the country you’ll easily be able to find one near you. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for our Accessible Performance Guide, we update it once a month!
5 Let her sleep in
This one is easily done and doesn’t cost a thing! Why not let mum (or whoever is the mum in your life) have a lie in and relax on Mother’s Day? It’ll give you a chance to spend time with friends or other family members and she’ll love the chance to catch up on some sleep!
