World of Country Life demonstrated their support of the new Deaf Academy in Exmouth by donating five free annual passes to students.

Last Friday some of the Academy students visited for the first time and had a lovely day, enjoying the activities and seeing the animals.

Nikki James, Higher Level Teaching Assistant, at the Deaf Academy said "It has been so lovely to welcome our students back to the Academy and see their delight in the new building and facilities. Many of our students have additional needs, as well as their Deafness, so external visits to places like World of Country Life can really help with their learning and development. The staff at World of Country Life were so welcoming and we even got a mention over the tannoy on the Deer train! We all had a brilliant day and our thanks goes to all of the amazing staff at World of Country Life. There is so much to see and do for the children that we look forward to visiting every week."

Debbie Butler, Marketing Manager at World of Country Life said "We have been pleased to support the Deaf Academy with their fundraising appeal over the past couple of years and are delighted that the state of the art campus is now open for their students. We wanted to offer them a warm welcome to the Exmouth community by donating some annual passes. Our staff enjoyed welcoming the children and Academy staff and were keen to learn a little sign language from them too."
