If you want to learn a new skill in 2021, why not have a go at sign language with the team from Sense?

Sense, is a charity designed to help those with complex disabilities including deafblindness. Their mission is to help people communicate and experience the world in the same way as everyone else. They have a dedicated team who work with those with additional needs offering help and advice as well as supporting them with housing, education and well-being.

For those that haven't had any experience with BSL, the acronym stands for British Sign Language, which is a visual means of communication using hand gestures, facial expressions, and body language. Sign Language is used mainly by people who are Deaf or have hearing impairments and there are different versions depending on where you are in the world - so if you want to learn signs, make sure to choose the one for your country.

Sense has been offering free BSL lessons on their website, sign up on their website here and learn some fun signs to help support those around you throughout 2021.
