Nominations are now open for venues, organisations and people who are accessible. The Blue Badge Access Awards are the only dedicated global award scheme promoting stylish accessibility across hotels, restaurants and other venues.
It is a good way to promote your accessible facilities, with categories for Best Hotel, Access Champion of the Year and for this year, a Conceptual Design Award which has a prize fund of £20,000.
Speaking about the awards, Fiona Jarvis said: “These are the most testing time that anyone in the hospitality industry will have ever experienced. But when owners, managers, designers, architects and developers have a little more time, I would urge you to devote some of it to considering how you can improve accessibility within your establishment. Of course, for those that have already addressed accessibility imaginatively and thoughtfully the Blue Badge Access Awards will give recognition to your efforts. We welcome nominations from members of the public for accessible venues they have encountered, from design professionals for their own designs and from venue managers and owners who have achieved high accessibility standards or introduced innovations.”
