The Shaw Trust has published their Disability Power 100 list for 2021 which this year includes a new Rising Star category.

Familiar names from a variety of industries feature in the list including Briony May Williams, the TV presenter who rose to fame on the Great British Bake Off; Samantha Renke, disability spokesperson and journalist; Carrie-Ann Lightly, head of marketing at AccessAble; Jessica Kellgren-Forzard, influencer; Dr Stephen Duckworth OBE FKC PhD MSc LRCP MRCS FDSRCS (Hon) trustee at a number of organisations and many more.

The Shaw Trust publish the list each year to change the public perception of disability and to recognise strong, successful, influential people who are leaders in their field. The list works to amplify and recognise the success of each individual and creating new role models for us all to aspire to.

This year’s list features a new category of Rising Stars which lists young activists Shelby Lynch, Fraser Simmonds, Georgia Vine and Heidi Crowter.
