Did you know that the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR), is officially launching its new accessible carriages in April?

They’ve been specially adapted for everyone with access requirements and can accommodate friends and family too. All the carriages have wider double doors, portable ramps, space to move around on board and a fully accessible toilet.  This is thanks to Yorkshire's Magnificent Journey project funding from the National Lottery and lots of hard work from volunteers and staff at the railway. You can call 01751 472508 to book in advance and plan your journey at www.nymr.co.uk/access

You can now enjoy the 24 miles of stunning Yorkshire scenery on the NYMR’s accessible carriages through the North York Moors National Park and on to the pretty seaside town of Whitby. There’s one coach on each service throughout the day. It’s easy to plan your accessible journey at www.nymr.co.uk/access

Getting around NYMR’s stations and getting on board the accessible coaches has never been easier, with downloadable station guides and an accessible route map of Pickering station to help you plan your day out, plus fully trained staff are there to help with access needs and questions. Visit www.nymr.co.uk/access to find out more.
