Research from Oak Tree Mobility has discovered that Dorset is the place to be for accessible beaches.
The research judged beaches across the UK based on their Disability Rights UK Survey score, how much wheelchair coasts to hire and the costs of using the disabled toilets. Bournemouth Beach in Dorset came out on top scoring the highest in terms of accessibility.
According to the research, Bournemouth’s beach is easy to get to from the main promenade which has smooth, level access. Wheelchairs are available for a refundable £50 deposit and there is a £5 charge for access to the disabled toilet.
