Heritage Open Days are returning this September with a theme of Celebration of Creativity. The annual free festival features a programme of thousands of free events, giving you a chance to explore some rarely seen places.

As you might imagine with heritage attractions, there are some that are not completely accessible to those with limited mobility, however, here are a list of some of the accessible options available as part of this year’s festival.

Godolphin

Free entry as part of Heritage Open Days, as well as a series of free walks, talks and workshops.

Ridgmont Station Heritage Centre Open Day

An award winning Victorian station house and booking office with museum in the Victorian Booking Office, Station Master’s Parlour, vintage tea room and gift shop.

Special display: Shakespeare’s First Folio

Baldwins Shore, Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire SL4 6DB

A chance to see a copy of Shakespeare’s First Folio will be on display at Eton College Library as part of the national 400th anniversary of its publication.

Arnos Vale Cemetery

Explore the beautiful architecture and graves of Bristol’s past, while hearing stories of the people involved on the accessible Ceremonial Way Tour.

Paralympic Arts and Crafts

The Marlow Donkey
