TfA’s CEO, Raymond Veal recently attended the Gold Service Scholarship Awards, here’s his experience of the event.
I was in London on Monday evening, attending the Gold Service Scholarship awards ceremony at Claridge’s.
It was a fantastic event, with 10 outstanding finalists and a very worthy winner. Congratulations to Isabella Condon, of Dinner by Heston Blumenthal.
Tourism for All is one of the ‘in kind’ sponsors of the competition. Every entrant who reaches the semi-final stage has the opportunity to take our online customer service training, to help ensure they give great service to disabled customers or those with access needs.
The Gold Service Scholarship has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2013. It really is helping to demonstrate that hospitality at its best is a true profession and it is inspiring to see the cream of young talent in the sector, who will be the leaders of tomorrow, being recognised and given the opportunity to develop their careers through ongoing educational programmes, work placements and mentoring.
The competition is supported by some of the biggest names in hospitality, both corporate and individual, and their commitment is helping to drive up the standard of service in the sector at every level.
We are thrilled and proud to be associated with this brilliant initiative.
