Dragons, Unicorns and May Half Term Magic Await at Fairytale Farm

Fairytale Farm is inviting families to step into a world of wonder this May Half Term with Once Upon a Unicorn and Dragon — an enchanting event running from Saturday 24th May to Sunday 1st June 2025. This magical experience is perfect for families with little dreamers who believe in fantasy, fun, and fairy tales.

“Whether it’s riding a unicorn, meeting a majestic queen, or learning to speak the language of dragons, this is one of the most magical events we’ve ever staged,” says Nick Laister, owner of Fairytale Farm. “Every corner of the farm will be alive with fantasy and adventure.”

Highlights of the event include:

Unicorn Rides – Thanks to the wonderful team at Pampered Ponies, children can enjoy the unforgettable experience of riding a ‘real’ unicorn. Rides are available for a small additional charge and can be added when booking admission tickets online.

Meet the Unicorn Queen – Be welcomed by the regal Unicorn Queen and capture magical photo moments with her and her trio of beautiful unicorns.

The Mythical Dragon Quest – Explore the farm’s play trail while hunting for six adorable dragons, each offering their own dragon-training tip. Report your new skills to the Dragon Master Knight and meet the baby Fairytale Dragon!

Speak Dragonese – Learn real commands in Dragonese and try them out on the baby dragon. With the right words, it might even listen to you!

Explore Fairy Dell – Enter a land of oversized mushrooms, clamber nets, fairy bridges, and climbing walls—a fantasy playground like no other.

Cuddle Corner – Snuggle up with adorable animals in the Small Animal Petting Area.

Dress to Impress – Come dressed as your favourite fantasy character—whether that’s a unicorn rider, knight, fairy, or dragon. Every child in costume will receive a sweet treat on arrival!

“This is more than a day out,” adds Laister. “It’s a chance for kids to live out their wildest dreams in a safe, inclusive, and magical setting.”

No special ticket is required — all activities (except unicorn rides and face painting) are included in standard admission. Unicorn rides can be added during the ticket booking process.
