Affinity Devon is bringing five weeks of summer excitement to the shopping outlet this year, offering a programme designed to be fun, welcoming and accessible for all visitors. With interactive shows, creative workshops and hands‑on activities, each themed week provides opportunities for families of all ages and abilities to enjoy a memorable day out. Here is what you can look forward to throughout the Summer of Fun.

Week 1: Really Wild Show

Tuesday 28 July and Thursday 30 July

The season begins with an adventure led by the Really Wild Planet team. Visitors can enjoy an engaging, interactive show featuring fascinating creatures such as snakes and bearded dragons, with presenters who make the experience both educational and entertaining. Free face painting is available throughout the day, adding an extra layer of fun for children and adults alike. Show times run at 11am and 2pm, with face painting available from 11am until 3pm.

Week 2: The Ultimate Play Zone

Tuesday 4 August and Thursday 6 August

Affinity transforms into a giant playground during Week 2, offering a full day of games and challenges suitable for all ages. Families can enjoy mini golf, Duck Hunt shooting and oversized versions of classic favourites including Connect 4, Jenga and Tetris. The relaxed, drop‑in format makes it easy for visitors to take part at their own pace, with activities running from 10am until 4pm.

Week 3: Superhero Academy

Tuesday 11 August and Thursday 13 August

Superhero fans can step into the action during Week 3. Spider‑Man will be appearing in person, offering meet‑and‑greet opportunities and plenty of photo moments. Visitors can take part in superhero training inspired by characters like Hawkeye, with precision shooting, x‑ray vision challenges and speed and agility courses. Costumes are encouraged, and the activities run from 11am until 4pm.

Week 4: Princess for a Day

Tuesday 18 August and Thursday 20 August

Week 4 brings a touch of magic to Affinity with a fairytale‑themed experience. Guests can meet real princesses, create their own tiaras and jewellery, and enjoy nail painting and glitter tattoos. The atmosphere is designed to be gentle, welcoming and accessible, making it a lovely option for visitors who prefer calmer, creative activities. Character appearances take place at 12pm and 2pm, lasting between 45 minutes and one hour, with the full programme running from 11am until 4pm.

Week 5: Climbing Wall

Tuesday 25 August to Thursday 27 August

The final week offers an energetic challenge with a four‑person mobile climbing wall. Suitable for a wide range of abilities, the wall provides a safe and supported way for visitors to test their limits and enjoy a new experience. Staff are on hand to assist climbers, making it an inclusive activity for families and individuals. The climbing wall is available from 11am until 4pm.
