About

Nature in art is unique - it is the world’s only museum dedicated entirely to art inspired by nature. Displays embrace two and three-dimensional work in all mediums and styles, spanning 1500 years, 60 countries and over 600 artists. Coupled with an exciting temporary exhibitions programme, you are sure to find something to spark your interest.

We regularly welcome individuals and groups with disabilities.

- There is ramped access for wheelchair users.

- Inside there is a lift and level or ramped access to the garden, art studios etc and wheelchair users toilets. Please note that the lift may not be able to accommodate some wheelchairs and the toilets may not be suitable for all wheelchair users. We are addressing this situation at the moment. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require information before you visit.

- The museum has two wheelchairs for free loan to visitors who might need them (booking in advance is recommended).

- Assistance dogs are welcome.

- With prior notice we are pleased to make extra tactile exhibits available for visitors with visual impairment.

Within our gallery spaces there are always a number of themed handling boxes which are aimed at helping children and families explore, discover and learn more about Nature in Art’s collection and various art techniques. Elsewhere, there also is brass-rubbing, an outside sculpture trail and a small play area.

Located just two miles north of Gloucester in a beautiful Georgian mansion, the museum also boasts a sculpture garden, a purpose built education centre and an artist’s studio. The popular artist in residence programme gives you the opportunity to meet and talk to an artist whilst they demonstrate their skills.

Why not come for an explore in 2024. There are 20 special exhibitions, over 100 children’s activity sessions, 45 artists in residence, over 40 art courses, several mini craft markets, monthly talks, family fun days, a renowned craft fair and much more.
