Stubcroft Operations Manager, Michela Rozborilova, and Managing Director, Simon Green celebrate their triple Beautiful South Awards.
Stubcroft Farm Campsite has achieved a stunning triple award in the prestigious “Beautiful South” 2020/21 Regional Tourism Awards. They won the Gold Award for the “Best Camping, Caravanning & Holiday Park” for the second year running, a second Gold Award for “Responsible, Ethical & Sustainable Tourism” and also the Silver Award for Access & Inclusivity. It is a very unusual occurrence to win so many top awards in one year and catapults Stubcroft into the top echelons of the UK tourism industry.
The awards are organised by Tourism South East / Visit Britain, the UK’s leading national tourism organisation responsible for both setting the UK’s accommodation standards and promoting the hospitality industry in the UK & abroad. They recognise excellence across the UK’s tourism industry and are judged on a wide range of criteria from the quality of facilities, Covid safety & customer service to impact on the environment, accessibility and inclusivity. The Awards ceremony is usually held at the Grand Hotel, Brighton but this year was held online to ensure Covid safety. Despite this all the finalists dressed up for the occasion to celebrate in style despite lockdown!
Managing Director Simon Green said “It has been a difficult year for the UK’s Hospitality industry and we are pleased & honoured to win these awards under such circumstances, it has exceeded our wildest expectations. I hope these awards will act as a beacon for tourism in the UK and encourage people to support its recovery in the forthcoming year. We would like to thank all our staff & customers for making this possible and the Beautiful South team for continuing with the awards in such a difficult year. It is a rare and unusual occurrence to win in three separate categories including two gold awards but is nice to know that the hospitality industry is not just focussing on quality awards but is also recognising the importance of sustainable tourism to the environment and also promoting accessibility & inclusivity to ensure everyone has the chance to enjoy a relaxing holiday break.”
This is the third successive year that Stubcroft Farm Campsite has been chosen as finalists in the Beautiful South awards. In last year’s awards they won the Gold Award for best Campsite, Caravan & Holiday Park and also in 2020 they won Green Tourism’s prestigious “Gold Award” for sustainable tourism, one of only three campsites in the UK to receive this accolade.

There are two wheelchair accessible shower rooms (one left handed & one right handed) each with shower, toilet & washbasins and a further wheelchair accessible toilet, all to the latest Doc M standards. The building has disabled parking near the entrance, is fully wheelchair accessible with shallow ramped access with handrails.
