Bristol Aquarium has introduced a thoughtful twist on the classic day out with its 'Even Calmer Days'. Although the aquarium is already known for being a soothing place to wander, these special days are designed for visitors who benefit from a gentler sensory environment. Throughout the day the usual background music will be turned off, the children’s rides will remain still and the lighting will be set a little brighter to create a space that feels relaxed and reassuring.
The aim is simple. Everyone should be able to enjoy the magic of the underwater world in a way that feels comfortable.
The Even Calmer Days for 2026 are: 8 January, 1 February, 5 March, 22 April, 7 May, 7 June, 2 July, 6 September, 1 October, 8 November and 3 December.

Our dedicated Even Calmer days create a more relaxing sensory experience for any customers who may need it. We will be turning off our music, and children’s rides to reduce any unexpected noises.
