The countdown to Christmas is on as Clarks Village announces the return of its festive ice rink.
The Somerset shopping outlet will once again transform into a magical icy wonderland with the comeback of the huge ice rink – featuring real ice.
An impressive 585-square-metres in size, the enchanting Clarks Village Festive Ice Rink will be entirely undercover, making it suitable for all weathers.
The ice rink will open on Tuesday, 10th November, and run until Sunday, 3rd January, offering more than seven weeks of skating over the entire festive season.
Skate sessions are set to include after-school skating, parent and toddler sessions, quiet sessions, disco nights and 2-for-1 offers, as well as brand-new Skate and Sing sessions. The rink is wheelchair friendly and will also be available for private hire, including parties, school trips and community visits. Guests can even visit on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Designed and installed by Icescape, the custom-built ice rink will be beautifully themed and decorated for the season and will be located on the lawn of the Shoemakers Museum, with a dedicated entrance from Clarks Village’s Restaurant Terrace.
Hosts at Clarks Village are also planning yet another incredible launch for this year’s Festive Ice Rink with details to be announced very soon.
For the past two years, the outlet has held the World’s Biggest Santa Skate and World’s Biggest Elf Skate, welcoming guests to dress up for a fun, free family skate in a bid to set a new world record and hosted by Father Christmas. Guests are now invited to keep an eye on Clarks Village’s social channels for details of the yet-to-be-revealed launch event, including free tickets.
Located in Street, Clarks Village is the region’s leading shopping destination with more than 90 designer and high street brands, all offering up to 60% off RRP. Its line-up includes Calvin Klein, BOSS, Levi’s, The North Face, Mint Velvet and Sweaty Betty alongside newest additions Crocs, Christy, Pro:Direct, and Hackett, as well as a range of cafes, eateries and late-night opening restaurants. Under 25 minutes from the A303 or the M5, the outlet is also dog friendly, boasts an exciting adventure playground for families, and with stunning landscaped gardens, also holds the prestigious Green Flag Award.
Mike Jones, Centre Director at Clarks Village, commented: “We’re incredibly excited to bring back the magical Festive Ice Rink at Clarks Village for the entire Christmas season.
“Whether you’re making a special visit to enjoy the ice rink or combining it with a day of discount outlet shopping, it offers a fun and festive experience for all the family.
