    It is thought that there are over 14 million people in the UK alone with a disability and that 80% of those people have a hidden disability. Hidden disabilities are defined as any condition that is not immediately visible to others and as such, visitors with hidden disabilities have a varied range of needs, which can make it difficult to know how to help.

    Theatre by the Lake mark Tourette's Awareness Day by turning green

    Theatre by the Lake will be joining businesses around the country by lighting up their building in green for Tourette's Awareness Day on 7 June. The leading Tourette's Syndrome charity,Tourettes Action, has launched two campaigns for this year's Tourette's Awareness Month, which runs from 15 May to 15 June, in a bid to increase awareness and remove stigma about the much-misunderstood condition. Theatre by the Lake will be taking part in #TurnItGreen, which is about turning as many landmarks as possible green in the hope that they can highlight the condition and get people talking.
