A learning disability service in Kent has announced plans to revamp its outdoor space to improve accessibility after receiving a £2,000 donation.

The service, run by Hft, the national charity, has over five acres of land at their Kent site, which will now be given a make over as part of the charity’s Big Build project.

Currently, the site is used to allow service users to socialise and enjoy various activities.

The service supports over 50 adults and has 11 supported living apartments and two residential homes. They previously undertook a Big Build project in 2016 after applying for a Funds for the Future grant, which helped them build an outdoor gym.

The most recent donation was made by a local couple, who wished to remain anonymous, but wanted to thank the staff for supporting a relative through the pandemic.
